I first heard about Biguerlai Slimming Tea from my younger sister, Littlebabs. She told me that it is reliably good. Never in my life that I've tried some kind of slimming products but due to sedentary lifestyle I gained some few pounds that made me try that talked-about tea.
From its box, it is said that Biguerlai will aid digestion and act against constipation, surplus fat and its re-accumulation. It will purify your blood and maintain its purification.
Its composition are: 75% senna fruits and 25% senna leaves. Aha, SENNA is some kind of bulk laxative. It is the only thing I can remember from my Pharmacology book when I was in 2nd year Med about Senna. School of Medicine is not particular about Herbal Meds that's why.
The first time I used Biguerlai... hmmm.... terrible! I had the tea around 9PM but I was awaken by gripping pains early dawn. I was not able to sleep properly that night. Har. Har. Har. From night shift I decided to change to morning tea-shift. Har. Har. Har. I feel sick the whole day because of colicky pains inside my stomach. It's like having an Amoebiasis ( every minute talaga ). I never had one but I can picture the case from the countless Pedia patients I've seen during my Pedia rotation. 'Twas how they described their pain ! It maybe due to the increased peristaltic movements brought about by Senna.
After consuming several tea bags, I realized that exercise is much better. To cut it short, I stopped drinking the tea. Only that my bowel movement is already dependent with the tea. I had constipation. So, I started reading about Biguerlai and Senna. It was a mistake forgetting to read about side effects... and having constipation afterwards is one of them. In fairness to the product, side effects differ to different persons. Maarte lang siguro mga bituka ko.
